This has been a valuable video to watch and is SOOO informative. Thank you. My agent said he has all of his clients on Plan F and only 6 people on plan G. Hmmm??!!! I had read on the internet several opinions on Plan F versus Plan G. I did my own math and agree Plan G is a savings of a lot of money. Your video confirms my findings.

Mr. Westfall, I am just starting Medicare and my agent did a great job directing me to the right product.   Now you have "Clearly" showed how important that first decision is on the lifetime cost.   My father retired from McDonnell Douglas Aircraft and they had full insurance coverage for about six years until they were told that the company was going to discontinue this retirement benefits and offered them $100 per month added to their pension.  No one explained that they should use this for a Medigap plan at that time.   Fortunately, my parents did have some major medical situations but they had money in the bank to cover their short falls.  The baby-boomer generation is not that fortunate and has basically only social security income to rely on which is not much in most cases.  So your excellent presentation is totally spot on and very helpful.  Thank you so much for this clarification.

I can verify the truth of this information. I spent almost 2 months going thru the Medicare Manual, typing up my own analysis on the whole subject, and came up with the same result. Signed up 2 months before I had an accident on my front steps, they had to operate on my ankle - and take me off of my coumedin, which is a no-no, and I had my second small stroke. I would be stuck on Plan F is I had joined it.

I am 70 and was confused about the fact that I had Plan G when friends told me Plan F was so much better. I was lucky I had an agent that explained to me that with Plan G I would be saving money in the long run! So when the insurance company I had left my state I went with CIgna and Plan G as my agent advised, you put it in words I understand better  thank you so much for your video.
