Показать описание
Katsudon is a popular Japanese comfort food that combines the savory flavors of a breaded and deep-fried pork cutlet, known as tonkatsu, with a bed of hot, fluffy rice. The dish is typically topped with a slightly sweet and savory sauce made from a combination of dashi, soy sauce, and mirin, which enhances the flavor of the meat. A layer of beaten eggs, cooked until just set, envelops the pork, creating a delicious harmony of textures. Often garnished with sliced scallions and sometimes pickled vegetables, katsudon offers a satisfying meal that is both heartwarming and filling. Originating as a quick meal for students, it has become a staple in Japanese households and restaurants alike.
