how did I forget to say (for anyone new or not here too often 😆) Gary’s parents live in Italy for a part of the year, so where we stay for the most part, is their home! The hotel we stayed at in Brindisi is linked in the description! Highly recommend it!

Your family must be making so many happy memories there! I had the opportunity to visit northern Italy with my husband and kids last November. I appreciated that the weather was in the 60s and it was overcast some of the time. Walking around all day in the heat of summer must be rough! I did think how nice it would be to rent a house with a pool. My kids needed a break from the many museums and cathedrals we visited. Oh, love the darker lipstick on you!

Gosh, Steph, I never realized how much Puglia (at least the parts where you were staying and SOME of the places you went) look like parts of Scottsdale and Phoenix! The bougainvilleas (those big bushes with the crimson/scarlet petals), palm trees, stucco walls, stone and tile walkways and pavers - all look like a typical Phoenix-area resort (see Montelucia resort videos on YouTube) or some rich person's backyard in Scottsdale. The only difference, really, seems to be that some of the architecture is sort of similar but much of it is very different. Fascinating, though. Your trip inspires me to plant some bougainvilleas in the little area next to my condo's back patio. Bougainvilleas are a lifetime commitment, though, since they refuse to be dug up or die... regardless of drought.

WOW! I really enjoyed seeing the streets of Italy. Actually never knew it was sooo Beautiful. Looks like you had a Wonderful trip and visit with the Family. Tell all I said "Hello". Gary's niece and nephew have grown fast like Keva and Molly. Driving on the right was interesting. Food looked really good. Did the Pizza have balls of cheese in the middle? Nice to get away for your Anniversary by yourselves. Safe Travels
