"Enjoying new questions". Great way to end that part of the interview. Thank you Mr Norcross for sharing this interview with An-shu. Cheers from Ottawa.

I really enjoyed the start of the talk with the reality of the Samurai and mentioning Bushido. I can tell the conversation has a lot of depth. It is always a Joy seeing a senior Martial Artist speak with a past student who has grown and runs their own school. I think that there needs to be way more schools out there like Mister Hayes and also Mister Norcross's school. I think there is something to learned from both of these men of good ethic. Thank you for the incredible part 2, this has being great to watch and learn. Its like Mister Norcross once said, even when you become a master, you are still always learning something new and there is always something new to be learned. It is very interesting to see and learn the secrets of both of these schools. I think for someone like me who has dealt with trauma and abuse/bullying, this is great knowledge for anyone struggling in life and can bring something new into one's life. We all can learn and grow no matter are difficulties or situation, knowledge is for everyone and we can all find peace in something of interest. Best wishes to both of you and your schools.

Great interview. I talked to Anshu Hayes in 1981 before I went to Japan. I was going to leave the Marines and study with him, he told me I could go to Bud Malstrom in Georgian that was closer. I ended up staying in the Marines

"They should be enjoying new questions." I still recall "Shiken haramitsu dai ko myo." (I hope I spelled that right!) Always watching for answers to new questions. 😉

Holy crap....this is an amazing video. Watched all 3 but this one has THE best questions asked out of all videos "ninpo" related this is the best one as far as a REAL discussion of the art. We all do this in our schools, or at least a handfull of Bujinkan, Jinenkan, Toshindo etc etc do but I have trouble finding this type of talk on YT or other mediums. THANK YOU BOTH

The form fits the function is one answer to one of the questions.
Also, many practitioners of Japanese Jujutsu are very dangerous. Think Ishizuka, Tanemura, Kacem, John Wilson of the Ninja Brotherhood of Canada, Juko Kai, etc.

i noticed that he avoided the question regarding Hatsumi sensei. other than that, it was a good interview.

It’s true about multi attackers and going to the ground. My brother trained in bjj and got into a fight at his own house. A drunken ufc fan got worked up and wanted to kick my brothers ass. Long story short my brother choked out his aggressor, but a friend of his opponent stomped on my brothers head when he was on the ground.. It messed him up pretty good. Not dissing bjj, but yeah be aware of your surroundings and situation.

You stopped training with your teacher much too soon. Your conclusions are not surprising.
