I love this! ❤ Also, for what it’s worth, I think in actuality our kids are “normal” and a lot of other kids have been desensitized 😔

THANK YOU! My little ones are a toddler and just starting kindergarten, and I find your channel to be helpful in so many ways! I’m always looking out for good books and planning ahead so that they have a love for reading.
I want you to know that your channel and others like it are really special to me because I haven’t found community to pull this kind of knowledge, experience, and advice from. Thanks for helping all of us mamas feel less alone and supported! ❤

Aw, I don't want to reread Charlotte's Web even as a 50+ year old adult! I haven't reread The Mouse and the Motorcycle since I was little, so I don't remember the details. But I do remember that I loved it. And I still love rereading the Little House books! Such a comfort read. I'll have to check out many of these that I haven't heard of before. I love children's books.

Thank you so much for this video! I have 4, 5 and 6 year old boys and my oldest is especially sensitive. I was having a hard time trying to find the right books for them. This is very helpful!

Needed this! My kiddos are also sensitive. We trialed "story of the world" for history and has to stop. My kids couldn't handle the talk of people's heads being chopped off and all the death. I know it's true but they definitely weren't ready for it.

Mr Popper’s Penguins, Ramona series, The Borrowers, Pippi Longstocking, Findus and Petson series, Teddy Robinson, and all the Pooh stories were some of our favorites.

Thank you for sharing! I need to be better about prereading lol instead I’ll end up occasionally pausing while I try and change the words of the story real quick in my mind for them 🤣 even if it’s just avoiding words like “stupid” etc

Lady, this is amazing. Thank you!!!! None of these books are super fantasy or 'magical' which is what I'm looking for! Bless you!!!

What a great list of recommendation. Lots of Sonlight and Brave Writer books. You have really good taste in good quality books. My boys have listened to the audiobook of The World According to Humphrey no kidding over 10 times!!! They love it.

We love Heartwood Hotel too! This is our current read-aloud. However, my son didn't like The Wild Robot just because of the part where Ros had to leave her mom. My son bawled 😭 and he didn't want to read it anymore. He couldn't control his emotions. 😢
Our kids are really unique, and what might be ok with other kids may not be for our child. And that's okay, this is the way God designed us to be.
Always looking forward to your read aloud recos, Angie! Thank you!

Charlotte’s Web makes me ball 😭. Like to the point where my kids ask me if I’m ok. I remember reading it as a child and being sad, but rereading it to my kids as an adult and parent now just get me 🐷🕷❤
