How to make a vertical line in Google Docs

To insert a vertical line in Google Docs. Click the 'Insert' menu then select 'drawing' A drawing canvas will open up. Then select the line tool in the drawing canvas and drag down to create a vertical line. You can adjust width and style of the line also by using other drawing tool options.
