As a recovering die hard heritage style guy, the trainer transition is a painful one. But not as painful as my old knees. Turn's out, you can have a lot of fun with it.
I wear Selvedge denim easily with every shoe I own .
Rule for me is one big cuff for classic shoes 2 cuffs for sneakers 3 /4 small cuffs for boots .
You’re welcome

I had a pair of these for 7 years, wore them every winter for those especially slushy winter runs. I lent them to my son for 1 day and he jumped in puddles and ruined them. No amount of pinesol could relieve them from the mold. They were as tough as my Danners are with water and snow. I have to say, I was surprised to see them here 😂 but the colours! Beautiful.

I always wear my jeans with whatever I want, just cos it’s selvage doesn’t mean I can’t wear it with sneakers. It works well :)

I'm big into trail and ultra running and wear a lot of Salomons. This is kind of hilarious seeing a review of Salomon trail shoes coming from the fashion world.

First off, great that Heritage fashion guys are venturing over to new areas because sometimes it feels like we all just wear a uniform. Here in NYC I wear my selvedge with sneakers because we walk a lot and someone once said that in NYC, our footwear is like our car, and sneaker are sport cars.

Nice, I've been wearing sneakers for years and only just got into selvedge! I think classic Onitsuka Tigers would be a great combination with some nice denim

Great informative video once again they look cool. Someone gave me a pair of black addidas with red trim water proof trail runners recently and they aren't bad at all. Thanks for all your hard work on the channel I have learn't so much about denim and I always look forward to the next video cheers mate.

What is the brand name of the cargo pants? Is there a link available? Thanks for all the great content.

I like footwear, and I can’t think of a good reason to cabin myself into boots, dress shoes, or sneakers. If a shoe is well made and cool looking, I will try it out.

Between Xt-6 and Xt-6 Expanse, do you wear them at the same size?

As long as the cut of the jeans work i think you can wear selvedge with trail shoes, basketball shoes, tennis shoes or even dad shoes. I know it's not a far back but we wore Air Force 1, Jordan 1, shell toes, cons with selvedge in the 80s.

I wear jeans with boots and sneakers.... Never with dress shoes.... The solomon is good with dry jeans... Old school vibes...

Great video as always - not the runners I was hoping for 😂

I love my selvedge. But I'm not a boot guy, so I'm likewise obsessed with sneakers and there are quite a few retros from the archives of brands like Saucony, asics, diadora or puma, that go very well with your Canadian tuxedo. 70s to 90s runners, a couple of classic court sneakers... There are many options. And much to my wife's disappointment I got even more of them than jeans 👖 😔

Curious what the brand is on that olive green button up?

Kudos on this one. If you are looking to blend more heritage with outdoor tech clothing I'd consider looking into Ibex merino wool as well.
I also have to say thanks for your recommendation with Benzak. I really like everything I've bought from them.

I wear Salomons and Hokas only with Techwear like Stone Island or The Mountain Studio… for bad weather conditions( as a dogowner 🦮 I’ve to go out several times per day) Meindl and Lowa are the best.. with real denim I prefer real boots like Sandmann… and the good old Palladiums… great heritage of the „Legion etrangere“🇫🇷🪖
