Pro kept their head down when going for the wall touch and leaving the wall in a better streamline position

Pro turned and glided with head facing down while the beginner glided facing sideways

Head facing the floor (right position) upon entry to the wall

Edit: you don't need to look at the wall to know you're there, that's what the T sign on the floor is for.

pro was faster off the wall and turned quicker and beginner was on the wall longer and turned to the side more

I'm a beginner and only notice a slight difference - am i missing something bigger ??

As a pro swimmer I can say this ain’t true. For free style and backstroke we do this thing called a flip turn. But if it’s breast stroke and butterfly you just do that I guess
