Melo jealousy. Lin was literally on his way out the league before D’antoni gave him a shot. When you are one of the best at what you do and some person comes along that’s not touted as high as you gets the same shine/ more shine than you, it does make you feel a way. Carmelo probably called Bron and told him to shut Lin down.

D'Antoni spearheaded Linsanity. The fast paced playstyle of Lin with pick and rolls with Tyson Chandler elevated that. He was unlucky to have played with 2 ballhogs in Anthony and Harden plus with injuries, it was game over.

His stint with the Hornets was the best version of him. K.walker and J Lin back court duo was exciting to watch. Too bad they lost to D Wade and the Heats. Pressure and performance in Toronto ended his career for sure, even though he won a ring but he was a bench warmer...

Thanks to Kawhi, Lin got his only ring. Does anyone remember Lin playing with the Raptors?

Melo will forever be remembered for killing Linsanity. Melo’s ego is the reason he never won a title. He’s never been a team player.

He flourished in Dantonis system.

It was the best for him at the pro Once he left NY it was over.

If it is true that Melo is the reason behind the end of Linsanity,
I can only say that Jeremy deserves the ring he wore,
and Melo truly deserves not having any, retiring without a ring to wear, and hopefully not retiring his Nuggets jersey, with Jokic being the one to retire it.
The only thing Melo deserves in retirement is the memory that his ego destroyed the chance of being teammates with Linsanity.
If all these rumors are true, it is proof that harbored ego brings no good.

in the post game threads of the heat vs hawks series in 2022 people were mentioning how good the heats defense was to end linsanity as explanation about why trae was terrible that series

Melo killed it in New York. Injury kinda killed the back end of his career.

Coach Woodson and Melo killed Linsanity.

Mike D'Antoni killed it by resigning. D'Antoni's system worked well for Lin.
