I’m 21 and I have 2 floribunda roses growing for 2 years! Just got another, love this channel!!! My great grandma was the rose queen, she loved gardening her roses. I’m happy I’m the one the universe chose to continue the tradition.

An expert once told me when to water roses. Put your finger down in the soil. If it comes up dry Water, If it comes up moist Water, If it comes up wet Water and then Water some more. My garden was once part of a 2 acre rose garden and i still have some of the old roses- about 50 in all and most still going strong 30 years later. I water them a lot lol

Kia ora from NZ Tony. My son bought me a gorgeous bush rose for my birthday, and he's also placed an order for 2 climbers I have been wanting (available in July). I came straight to your channel for info and I have not been disappointed. You've covered everything I need to know. Brilliant! Tomorrow I'll plant my bush rose - can't wait!

One of my earliest memories is watching my Dad working on his roses 🌹, one of the things that made me a gardener! Hybrid tea roses are a little hard to grow in my part of Canada, winter is hard on them here! I think Britain is the best place in the world for roses!

Thank you so much, I've recently wanted to grow some Rose's to honor my grandmother who passed away and her favorite flower were her roses.

Tony, I’ve never grown roses—or much else!— but your enthusiasm makes me want to start. Another high quality no-nonsense video.

Thanks for the advice, Tonio.

I grew roses till last Feb, but they blew off my windowsill while I was out of town during Storm Eunice, so I need to grow some more.

We have roses grown on 9 foot trellis covering the front of our house. This supplies us with shade, and security. On the north side around the HVAC but not too close to block air flow and maintenence. Are shrub roses. Now two new climbers to cover arched trellis over the ramp for fragrance and security .
The other half of the house are trellis for grapes and kiwi vines. Under which is a nice place to sit. Our porch now has a stock tank pond with goldfish, and water plants. The fertile water goes to watering the garden.
So your videos are much appreciated.

Hi there, I am very late replying, but how ever a GREAT video of roses advice thanks! I love growing roses, they are so rewarding! I found the more I improved my soil the easier gardening is, as less diseases, easy to dig, less pests, and more healthier plants which "grew" my confidence.🌺🌺🌺

I just got 2 roses for the first time. These rose were labeled dead and was about to be put in the garbage so I got them free. I was pretty excited when 1 of the hybrid tea "Eternal Flame" rose bloomed after a week in my care😁. Soon the 2nd roses "petite Knock Out" started blooming (at least 5 to 6 roses) and it quickly smelled wonderful on my balcony. Now I want to make sure are cared for properly so l'm all ears.

Just bought miniature roses for the first time. Growing in containers to attract bees and other insects for my veggies and herbs. Thank you for the 5 P's.

Good information, Tony. I've a real soft spot for roses and grow 6 different David Austin varieties, both climbers & shrubs. It's not the easiest climate to grow in with snow, ice and bitter cold winds for 5 months of the year... but when they're blooming it's simply glorious and so worth the trouble. 🌱🐝

Brilliant video. I am a novice Gardner and has this week dug up a big area in front of the house that will be flower bed for roses. Your instructions and detailed but simple and clear.

Thanks for all the information. Very detailed. Our two front yard rose bushes are blooming now. When I pruned it I was happy to see several ladybugs working on the aphids. I’d like to incorporate more roses and with this information I feel more confident to do so. 🌹

I created an ombre hedge of roses right down one side of my garden and I love them. I'm a complete novice and only started last spring but had blooms right from late spring until mid autumn. They do need a lot of attention, the aphids quickly became my worst enemy but the payoff is worth it when you look out of your windows and see hundreds of healthy blooms.
