You all know how much I love South Park, particularly their episodes on Tourettes, ADHD and conversion therapy. I have strong feelings about this episode too, but perhaps not in the way you might think.

This is the exact scenario that made the D.A.R.E. program fail. Doing cheesy and lame presentations to attempt to appeal to kids totally backfired. That's what happens when you let an out of touch old lady (Nancy Reagan) design a program to reach kids.

Seriously recommend a deeper look into America’s war on drugs and the ad campaigns. The anti-drug campaigns in America pervaded every part of our lives, and it’s hard to tell how much good was done versus the harm with exposing children poorly to drugs and often using misleading info. It came from a well-meaning place, but it was so full of condescension and self-righteousness.
