$40 Transformation - Moza Racing ES Formula Wheel Mod

The Moza Racing ES Formula Wheel Mod is a $40 upgrade or transformation of the Moza ES Wheel Rim. That changes the 280 round wheel of the stock rim to a 280 mm Formula style rim that looks stock from the factory. This for only 40 bucks.

This is really nice for people who started with the R5 bundle but want to upgrade to a CS or RS wheel. Lets you convert your ES wheel to a nice entry level Formula wheel and avoid spending the $500 on the GSv2. Hopefully Moza's working on a "CS" level Formula wheel though. That seems to be the most obvious hole in their lineup right now - a ~$250 Formula wheel with better shifters and a couple of encoders sitting between the ES / Formula mod and the GSv2.

Got this and the ES wheel on the way, looking forward to trying them out. Feels like it would’ve been more sensible to have a mounting solution for the quick release separately to the rims individually to make the process a bit quicker (such as when swapping out a Thrustmaster rim plate with an Acelith one) but still straightforward enough in practice!

It looks a bit lighter than the round wheel and am wondering if there is a little more detail communicated due to the slightly smaller moment of inertia the motor has to overcome. Or, is there no discernable difference from a human's viewpoint?

How to make the LEDs work correctly with ACC? I dont really know when to shift cuz it just blinks all the time.

If only they gave me all the tools as well. Mine came with nothing. And the bottom screw is like torqued to 100 lb ft and I can't get it off sadly.

so strange! they make something like this ..truly awesome but then they sell u super nintendo pedals on the r5 with no opt. for load cell...but their load cell pedals are as expensive like the hydraulics one from other brands...whos making such decisions is beyond my imagination
