Fat loss > weight loss. Yhis is why it was nice to hear he did it through resistance training and not cardio because muscles are fat burning factories. Cardio is great for increasing your work capacity and your ability to recover but it is not great for burning fat because you will also burn muscle which can of course affect a lot of aspects of your health

Interesting that this ends up about consistency because that's exactly why I've started building out a home gym. I just don't have that time to get to the gym several days a week. I might only get 1 or 2 days a week where I have the availability to go to the gym, work a hard hour, and drive back. I do, however, have 20-ish minute blocs during the day, 2-3 times per day, where I could put in some good work. I think this will be the only path for me to really build that consistency needed to see the growth and changes I want to see.

I have an issue with supper and snacks at night. Definitely alot stronger and somewhat leaner, but wanting to lean out more without losing any muscle and that is the rub. Finding that all calories aren't the same as sugar and carbs at night seem to stop my fat loss. I am 5'10" and 206 pounds - probably 20 percent body fat at 54 years old. Working out 4 days a week - 3 times a day on PPL, Full body split. Intake of aprox 2100 calories a day and if I up it, I gain weight in my belly. Going to try to replace sugar calories with protein/fats and see what happens.

i wanna get advice from you guys as well. I started my fitness journey just this feb this yr. i weighed 280 lbs and im only 5'4. i am now down to 170lbs at 21% body fat. so since feb all ive been doing is 6 day PPL, 40 min walk to my gym and back home and on my rest day i swim for an hour for my diet i did intermitent fasting. im finding it hard to lose the 25lbs more i need to be within the max weight for my height. at the same time i dont want to be just thin i want to build a muscular lean build. hope i can hear from you guys. I love ur show and all the great info i learn from you

I did this same thing a year ago! Wanted to gain 15 pounds for my wedding. Ran a maps anabolic type of program and ended up pulling it off.

Better first question would have been to ask if he wants to look better in a suit or better on his honeymoon rather than just asking lean or buff.
