As I tuned in to the morning show, I was taken aback by what I heard. I have always regarded leaders like Kaluma and his ODM counterpart as intelligent individuals with integrity. However, rather than outrightly dismissing Gachagua’s allegations, I expected them to advocate for a thorough investigation into the claims. These include:

Whether fertilizer donated by Russia was indeed sold to Kenyan farmers,

Allegations of Sudanese gold being smuggled through Kenya to the UAE, and

Claims that State House has become a central hub for procurement, benefiting a select few at the expense of the nation.

ODM’s failure to take a firm, principled stance on these serious issues is disappointing. Ultimately, history will be the judge of your actions—or lack thereof. Lest we forget.
