My DRZ is my daily. Has been for 3yrs now. Highway and all. I know I'm biased but I have a hard time not making the argument that the DRZ is literally the best bike ever built. So long as you have the time and the cash she will be a race bike, track bike, daily driver, weekend warrior, dirt bike, touring machine, and everything inbetween. Will she do any of those as well as their dedicated counterparts? No but she'll do them well enough. With a smile.

I’ve had a couple different bikes, but my 2021 DRz 400 was by far the funnest bike I’ve owned. I had it for about 18 months and I did commute on it no problem. The only issue is if you have a far commute, which you need to be on the freeway, do not buy this bike. It is a great bike for back roads and through the city. If Suzuki would make it a 500 cc and add a six gear, it would be much more suitable, but nonetheless great bike to own!

Great around town bike for sure. Long distances not so much but doable like you said. I def love my DRZ.

Hey i got a few questions: Is the drz 400 a better beginner bike than a CBF 600 ? Can i drive like 68mph to 74 for 30 miles ~ on the highway without breaking or damaging the engine?

Would be nice if someone could answer me them and be honest. I did my exams and stuff 2 years ago but didnt drive any bike since then because i had a leg surgery and stuff but i wanna start riding soon. Cheers 💖😘

Drz videos are back! For me, the DRZ is my daily and I agree it's a short distance commuter 👍

Just keep two sets of sprockets and get a split link for your chain. One for mickey mouse journeys and one for long hauling))) Sorted

This machine is for fun and for around town. It's very practical and amazing for Offroad. Just don't buy the DRZ if you do a lot of highway miles. Everything else this is the perfect bike for you

To anyone who watches this video and still wonders if it's worth it/if it's really a good daily, I can confirm it is. I have a 2019 DRZ that was my only vehicle for 2 years (bought new). It's geared 15/38, and it's bone stock except for the headlight, case savers, and a 3x3 mod/rejet (which I did in the last 3k miles, and I'm at almost 25k miles right now). I use michelin pilot tires, last 2 sets I've gotten around 11k miles out of, and my daily commute is 40 minutes each way on a 75mph interstate. Handles it like a champ, have never had to adjust valves or do any major maintenance, just chain/tires/ an oil change every 4k miles, and new brake pads once. I weigh 130, and I get around 70mpg on it after the rejet, was a bit less before the mod (around 60mpg).

It’s not a bike for cruising at 70mph on the highway. Outside of that, it’ll be the most fun you can have. Have an off road set of wheels to swap on and really hit some trails too. For the right person, there is no better bike.
