Building a House | Ep. 2 - 'Wall Framing'

Показать описание
In this series, we frame a house from the ground up. A two-story home with a roof deck and a 2 car garage! You'll get to see how we operate as a 2 person crew, and how we tackle things like trusses and floor joist with a limited number of people!

In this episode, we frame all of our first floor walls. Interior and Exterior, shot over the course of two days. Typically, we'd get a list and pre-cut all of our door and window packages; i.e. headers, sills, top and bottom cripples. Unfortunately, we were short on time, so we kind of just went for it! We're making good progress, things are moving right along.

From here on out, videos will be uploaded at random! Subscribe and turn on post notifications to keep up. Will be hosting YouTube ONLY Giveaways, and much more!

I build and install custom cabinets. I’d love anything you’d love to give away. I watched this to understand why sometimes I don’t always find a stud on 16 inch centers. I wish more framers would use your method.

Canadian framer here. Crazy to see how different guys put together houses, mad respect for the patience you must have with laying out everything for each individual wall. Cheers!

I'm a 35 years handyman with a few bigger projects under my belt -- helped on a couple of additions, installed a 3 story walnut staircase, gut remodeled countless kitchens and bathrooms, built a couple of largish decks, etc... I want my crowning achievement to be a full build. Videos like these inspire me to keep reaching for that goal. Thank you! 🔨🔨🔨🔨🔨

Like your style and how relaxed you guys seem. Wood framing is fun. Being in the carpenter's union and doing concrete form work we are always on a time crunch and in a hurry and stressed out.

I liked that you larned to nail your plates together, as no mistakes that way, and all plates are the same length. More time to do it right, but no unplumb walls. I liked your A brace idea, and your blocking ideas. Your nailer seems to be nailing quickly. Last but not least, I liked you signing your work, Matt Bangs Wood, and the Date. 🤗

Looks awesome so far you seem so lax on the site, like no stress at all, encouraging to see that!

I’m building a shed for my friend on a concrete slab and you have helped me so much on completing such a simple job. Thanks for your easy to understand directions.

Carpenrty is what I want to do when I finish my time in the military. I'm pretty strong and I have a little bit of experience with these types of tools. Cant wait to begin a new career

I started my carpentry trade about 6 months ago and last week i aced my floor framing test, now this week we finally start framing walls walls i cant wait, only promblem is that at my school we need to take all the framing we do apart to save the wood for the next class to use the wood so that cats paw would be real nice 😂
