It was like God was telling John, "Fear not, for I'm with you." I think that's why John said "Thank you."

Watching this scene left me sobbing. It was so surreal. But I also cannot wait for the day, to go to the wedding banquet to join my eternal family. Blessed be you, Lord our God, King of the Universe.

A lot of believers in yeshua don’t know this:

John the Baptist father past his priesthood down to John when he was born.

John was a priest. Why is that important?

According to Moses ONLY a levitical priest can inspect a lamb before it can be allowed to be sacrificed. I think it’s in the book of Leviticus.

Only John could say “Hear is the lamb of God who will take away the sins of the world.” After that announcement he was arrested and killed. He did his job, the greatest job any priest had the opportunity to do.

Jesus is a lamb without defect (sin).

John's brutal death has always troubled me. But I know he now sits in a very high position in Heaven.

Lord of all creation, weeps as a man like everyone else. Mourns John here, then even cries for Lazarus who he KNEW he would resurrect.

This was beautiful as it was sad. The light shining on him and then the lamb, it felt special for sure. I think at some point we have felt his grace in dark times.

Just want to share a little testimony happen two days ago, watching this scene first time, i was in my living room with all light off and alone, my wife and kids was taking a nap in afternoon, i was in tears in this part, and God was revealing me answers and confirmations, and exactly when light shine on John in this scene the living room in my house got bright too by the light from outside, was surprise bc God always confirms his presence in many ways, I feel very familiar at this point in my life with God bc of so much experience i been having, and watching this scence, tells me people have died so this message can be deliver to us, we have the chance to see this type of work and representation from the scripture, bc people and God itself through His Son JesusChrist died so we can have a chance to know the truth and choose to be with Jesus Christ and be saved, watching John been decapitated, is like watching my brother get killed, and so many Christians been persecuted today, I can feel that like they are close family, be safe people God bless

I love that he allows his last words to be recorded as "You wouldn't get it". We place so much stock on what we want our last words to be, and it was probably like that in this time as well. John says something incredibly profound and meaningful, then says something seemingly far less profound, and doesn't even care if it's the last thing he's recorded as saying on this earth - because he knows he's got an eternal life still to go.

„And if i weep let it be as a man, who is longing for his home…“
God, i love you! Giving us signs of HIM in our deepest despair 😭✝️🙌♥️ letting him see the Lamb! That was beautiful!

In spite of the tragedy of this moment, you gotta appreciate the subtle humor the team inserted, with John using the wedding banquet line for double meaning with a straight face and the guard writing down "You wouldn't get it" as the last word, pretty much proving the Baptizer's point

I ask this of God all the time, … please let it be like this, …. Just when you fear at the end, He arrives, rushes in with peace, collects you, and takes you home. There’s no more fear, no more death, no more pain, just the surrender of your spirit to Him. I pray to Him all the time, if it’s going to be bad, be there with me in time to distract me from the worst of it, and come get me, and bring me home. ❤🙏

My name is John, from Greece. My mother told me that they gave me this name in honour of John The Baptist! What an honour for me to have this Saint guarding me! Unfortunately, I'm not worthy of his blessings, but I'm trying at least. Thank you God❤

I used to question why God let people die, even those that followed Him. Then i realized our access to heaven is through death and separation from our sinful physical bodies. God simply let this situation happen so they can be with Him and no longer need to suffer.

The parallel between St. John's christening and then the roman soldier reading the death sentence. St. John seeing the lamb and the rainbow behind. St. John saying thank you, the beheading and Jesus tearing his sleeve. I mean the direction of this scene really left me speechless.

I know Jesus was man but it's still very hard to see our lord cry 💔🙏 Herod Antipas and his wife were truly cruel to take John away like that
