It is interesting that you don't mind the 'take that' element. You mention the storytelling part, but I wonder if it isn't also because there is a trade off since you have to spend your resources to give someone else victory points. As well, it looks like one player can't get picked on repeatedly since the points go up exponentially.

I like that.

I love CV, and have never played another game that feels like it. Could you recommend another game, dice or otherwise, that does such a great job of portraying its theme in the decisions you make in the game?
