I think the appeal of Notion is trying to make your own system and template, customizing it to your needs. I haven't really felt the need to use or learn Notion when I already have systems that work for me.

Yes!! 🙌🏻 Notion is much more meaningful if you build it yourself. Back in the day, I watched August Bradley’s videos that showed how powerful Notion could be and that’s how I got hooked. He didn’t necessarily teach how to use Notion but I built his system through his videos and still use a version of it to this day. Since I built it, I know how to tweak to make it work for me. I’ve added stuff to it, and the stuff I added, all relates back to my system, which makes it so much more powerful than just adding someone else’s template that adds no value to my system.

I’ve had people ask me for a template of my system and I always encourage them to build it themselves. I’ve even offered to teach them for free…so far, no takers. 😢
