1.Functional differentiation -in an organisation there are different departments which are performing various different tasks so coordination is important to achieve the organizational goal and for smoothly running of all the activities.
2.Specialization- there are various experts working in an organisation and they think that they cannot ever go wrong.coordination helps to remove the ego and to end the fuzz in these types of situations.

growth in size: when the size of an organistaion increases, the need for better coordination also increases. coordination is required in an organisation to bring unity of action among employees.
functional differentiation: various departments, divisions and groups can lead to clashes due to individual objectives. so, as to achiev the organisational objectibe coordination is required to integrate the functions and lead the employees towards organisational goal.
specialisation: specialised workers or superiors often start having the feeling of superiority over their subordinates so coordination helps to movge these people towards the common goal and remove the egoand confusion.
