I love your creative use of a green waste wheelie bin!

No longer working in a garage with access to a floor mounted spring compressor I did a front spring scrabbling about in the dirt the other day. I also didn't die but them clamps keep you on your toes !
100 % approve of the autodoc eibach and bilstien combination 👍 I have the same set up on my mk3 cavalier and mk6 golf and it's great 😉

Ooohh I hate spring clamps and you demonstrated perfectly why. I was among the powder coaters too, but you've done a fabulous job painting and saved money. Good welding, panel beating, and spraying is witchcraft I'm incapable of. I love watching talented folks like you making it look easy when it isn't.

I just recently crashed my 245. It’s the first real crash I’ve ever been in. It happened so fast. Wish I had the access and expertise you guys do so I wouldn’t have to junk it. It still doesn’t feel real. I’m sitting here living vicariously through you guys as I can’t afford the high attention to detail you guys can. Keep up the great work

Looking really good. So much effort, shame you won't see it. You'll have to park the car with a mirror underneath it.

Brilliant video, I'm not mechanically skilled, but there appears to be no limits to your skills!

An absolutely superb job, I stand corrected having suggested you powder coat your results are far superior. I was in fear for your digits when that spring clamp let got. Keep up the great work and content 👍

Ouch for Lewis' Mum.
Hope she recovers soon.

Typical, Leanne! Can't leave Lewis alone for 5 minutes & he takes everything to bits... just what I would do too 🤣🤣 Looking excellent though! Cheers. Leigh.

A labour of love and a public safety film to boot. Children don't play with springs 🙈🙈

You're absolutely right Lewis, if you're going to do it, do it right. The Volvo continues to surprise when it comes to welding. I already saw the shiny undercarriage parts passing by when you were in the 24 h live stream of UpnDown.

Cut a short piece of garden hose and put it on the banjo bolts then put them back on the rack before cleaning, that way you don't get crud going inside the rack and oil pipes while cleaning which could become expensive.
Also if you fit rear lowering springs then you need an adjustable pannard rod because the axle will not be centered correctly once lowered it will be off centre

Kind of bummed with the lack of crocs to assist with the sketchy spring clamps

It was a bit like the Blair Witch project at the end there with those parts hanging like that. Great work.

Polestar are basically Geely/Volvo, and the Polestar 1 was manufactured entirely in Chengdu, China. A Gothenburg factory is being built, but the Polestar 2 is being manufactured entirely at another Geely factory in Taizhou, China. Geely Holdings have a powerful influence on Volvo production over there.

As for Volvo, their recent history is rather complex, with historical links to VW, Ford, what eventually became Stellantis, and a number of other manufacturers.

These factors make you wonder seriously whether the legendary build quality of Volvo cars has been maintained. Only time will tell.
