Almost 5 years old and just got sent here by WATM email! Anyway, when I was in it was mainly the Rangers and the green beanies, and nobody talked about SEALs. SF guys would usually backhand compliment Rangers, like "They're pretty good for regular Army stuff." To my mind, SF were the intellectuals; teachers without borders but with guns. How I'd explain to my family the difference between the Rangers and SF: "It's never been necessary for a Ranger to learn another language".
