Count me as a disappointed Celtic fan. The difference between Ange's departure and Brendan's, is night and day.

Ange saw out the season, and his contract. If the board were too timid or myopic to offer a more lucrative and long term deal. If Ange refused an offer of a longer term contract in order to keep his options open, fair play to him.

On a philosophical level, I'm not a fan of going backward. Rehiring a manager who jumped ship mid season, definitely feels like a step in reverse.

I'm hoping for his success, and certainly wish him no personal malice. But I can't guarantee I would down a pint with the man.

Rodgers going back to his comfort zone...
He's also going back with his tails between his legs considering what happened at Leicester last season

Celtic supporters know that his leaving was on the cards since the previous summer at least, due to the previous CEO and Rogers inability to work together - lost John mcginn, his No1 signing target over £200k.

for a club "as big" as celtic (cos that what some people keeps saying) why couldnt they go get 1 of the best upcoming managers instead of going back to an ex

Courtesy of Pete Townshend;

"Yeah
Meet the new boss
Same as the old boss" ;

A chest thumping, badge kissing spoofer, "one of our own"! Until a "bigger" club like Leicester/Spurs comes along!

I think alot more of Celtic Football Club than this fawning nonsense of welcome back!

Our Celtic, that entity of the Heat of Lisbon, or the cold of ibrox, as raith win on penalties.

The Celtic of our families, through generations, investing hard earned money into Our Club, while at the same time the transient badge kissers take millions per year, out!

The Celtic of a real "One of Our Own" Tommy Burns, a decent man, as he tried, with 2 arms tied behind his back, to stop a proven rotten club win 9 in a row.

Celtic deserves better than a Rodgers or a Postecoglu. They won trebles with our sole competitor in a post receivership heap.

Jock Stein and MON did it against better Hun teams and got to European finals. Tommy Burns 95 Cup win far outweighs any treble since 2016. Wim Jansen stopped a 10.

Rodgers turned his back on one.

Won't get fooled again!

Forever HAIL! HAIL! by the way!

He was successful because rangers were in a bad place. Once a challenge came he ran to England and rangers won the league

I think Rodgers needs to do well in Europe.
I think Celtic, Rangers, Aberdeen, Dundee United, Heart of Midlothian, and Hibernian could join the North American Major League Soccer, with Welsh and Irish clubs in a Celtic Conference to qualify for the MLS playoffs.
Play eastern American and Celtic sides in the regular season.
Merci. Thanks.
