Rory McIlroy has spoken out after he was infuriated by the celebrations of Joe LaCava, the caddie of Team USA's Patrick Cantlay.

The European star accused LaCava of waving his hat in his line of vision as he lined up a crucial putt on the 18th green in the final fourballs match on day two. McIlroy’s rage then continued in the car park at Marco Simone Golf Club, where he was seen in a ferocious exchange with another American caddie, Jim ‘Bones’ Mackay. McIlroy said it was the angriest he had 'ever been in his career' however he admitted he took it as an opportunity to focus himself.

As an American, I'm with Rory on this. No place for that. Also, the way he stood up to LIV will always make him a hero in my book. Cheers Rory

Rory is such a sanctimonious hypocrite, ever since the LIV Tour he's just made cringe statement after cringe statement and this is no different, trying to start fights in a car park over a caddie waving a hat near him (nowhere near his ball or putting line btw) and of course the constant crying about LIV players taking Saudi money and next year guess what Rory will do doing? Taking Saudi money after the PGAT merger 🤣🤣🤡

Seriously think LaCava could take McIlroy in a fist fight.

Rory is throwing unnecessary tantrums here. If Joe was caddying for Tiger in that situation, Rory would have kept his piehole shut.
Let it go man...

He dishes out to everyone else . The way he hammers LIV and the Ryder cup heroes that they have is embarrassing. But when it’s his turn to get on with it, he talks about reading about Roman emperors teaching him about stoicism. Blergh
