Do You Want to Say Why I Quit Engineering, or Do You Want a Career? Engineering Online PDH Courses

Sure you could say "Why I Quit Engineering", but do you really wan to say that. We all pursued a career in engineering from the time we were in High School, and some of us even earlier. Yes I could have said several times "Why I Quit Engineering" or "Why I quit my Engineering Job" or "Why I quit my Civil Engineering job". Yes there has been numerous times I could said that in my 40 plus years in the engineering profession. But something kept pulling me back to engineering; especially Civil Engineering. I am sure that most other engineers have felt the same thing from time to time.

Some do leave the engineering profession and probably regret it later. In this video I mention several reasons why engineers leave the profession, but more importantly I will discuss why engineers stay in the engineering profession.

im sitting here comtemplating on quitting and its a monday. you are right theres got to be a why. i love it for the same reasons as you, but i just feel the stress is immense. the thought of making a mistake is scary (structural failure). it doesnt help that there is a blame culture going on around the company. i used to be on site and now im in design office. sitting for hours and hours also does take a toll on my health (back problems).
