Όπως επισημαίνεται η ενημέρωση αυτή προς το Κογκρέσο είναι η δεύτερη που αφορά τα ΗΑΕ, αφού πριν λίγες ημέρες είχε υπάρξει και άλλη μία που αφορούσε ενδεχόμενη πώληση μαχητικών αεροσκαφών F35 κάτι που όπως έχουμε ξαναπεί είναι πολύ πιθανόν να συμβεί.
Στο άρθρο τονίζεται επίσης επί λέξει ότι:
Εάν η συμφωνία αυτή προχωρήσει, θα πρόκειται για την πρώτη εξαγωγή οπλισμένων UAVs αφότου η κυβέρνηση Τραμπ έδωσε νέα ερμηνεία σε συμφωνία 34 χωρών που είχε συναφθεί την περίοδο του Ψυχρού Πολέμου ώστε να επιτραπεί η εξαγωγή αυτού του είδους εξοπλισμού από αμερικανικές εταιρείες σε συμμαχικές χώρες.

As it is pointed out, this information to the Congress is the second concerning the UAE, since a few days ago there was another one that concerned the possible sale of F35 fighter jets, something that, as we have said before, is very likely to happen.
The article also emphasizes verbatim that:
If the deal goes ahead, it will be the first export of armed UAVs since the Trump administration reinterpreted a Cold War-era 34-nation deal to allow such equipment to be exported by US companies to allied countries.
