In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)

TEDxTAW would like to thank our generous sponsors for all the support in making the inaugural event a huge success. Thank you to The Munk School of Global Affairs, Chatelaine Magazine, Reprodux, Rogers TV, Because You Said So Promotions + Events, SustainableMRK, Orange Fish, and UBER. We could not have done it without your support.

Yes. Yes. YES! Always question why society tells us that 'feminine' = bad and 'masculine' = good. Great talk, Laurie!

Hi Laurie!  As a Single Dad of 1 boy and 1 girl I fully understand the concept beyond what may normally be known.  Having the awareness is is pretty easy, the solution is not so easy.  Great to see another MDHS Alumni on TedX!! Cheers!

Love this. For my Son's 1st birthday I wanted to buy him a toy picnic basket and quickly found that the boy section didn't have any all the toy foods were in the girl section, I bought it anyway. I am so sick of men being told to suppress and sever parts of who they are bc it's socially unacceptable. Thank you
