I'm confused by why Cinderella would be there as a teen since she wasn't a princess to begin with. I mean they deliberately used the actors from the 1997 Cinderella so we have to assume this is the same universe.

i have a slight theory, what if Bridget ended up resenting and hating Cinderella because she did not become evil. I could be wrong, but what if Bridget was very hurt from the trauma she dealt with and wanted revenge. Cinderella probably was trying to convince her not to get revenge, but Bridget did anyways. This could of caused Cinderella's and Bridget's friendship to be over because Cinderella did not want to be evil, but Bridget went down a very dark path.

This LOOKS better than I thought it would, but we seriously couldn't have come up with a more clever name for the Queen of Heart's daughter than Princess Red? Princess Scarlett maybe? Or Princess Ruby. Princess Rory or Garnet or Poppy or Rose? Any of those are red. Princess Rose would even be clever because it would pay homage to the song "Painting the Roses Red" in Alice in Wonderland.

in this version, the original heroes and villains are given different back stories
Cinderella was not living at home with her awful step-relatives and being a full time maid, she was attending a magical academy run by Merlin that many other future villains and heroes also attended
the Queen of Hearts of Wonderland used to go by her civilian name "Bridget" and was genuinely a nice person before her "unfriendly relationship" with Ursula's little sister ruined her and caused her to walk down "the dark path" to becoming a tyrannical overlord that loves to behead people
Uliana was also shown to have her own gang at school, and teen Captain James Hook, teen Hades, teen Maleficent were shown to be part of that gang

I have mixed feelings about this movie. I'm really excited to see Brandy and Paolo reprising their roles or rather playing different versions of their characters from the 1997 movie and I'm also excited to see the Queen of Hearts. However, I don't know how I feel about the timeline. Somehow, Maleficent, Hook, Bridget (Queen of Hearts), Ursula's sister and Hades are in the same age or close to the same age as Cinderella? Also what is Cinderella doing in a boarding school or in school at all? Why isn't she at home being enslaved by her step-family? I don't know. I feel like there's a good chance we're going to have to chalk it up to this movie relying on its main demographic being small kids who don't fully understand the classic tales of Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, Alice in Wonderland, Peter Pan and Hercules. I know that's kinda obvious but at the same time, I did kinda hope it would appease the older audiences as well other than bringing back Brandy and Paolo as Cinderella and the Prince.

the past VK are easy suspects for sure. Red herself might of accidentally turn her mother evil in a time loop. both are very possible theories you made.  

Other theories (based on her childhood relationship with cinderella vs her adult relationship calling cinderella two face when the daughters met) shows that maybe cinderella was tricked into pranking her friend. maybe Ella was lead by the populars to believe that if Ella pranks Bridget it would be like an initiation and they would become friends with the populars or something. instead of becoming popular and making friends like she had wanted she was betrayed by the only friend she did have. turning to the dark side. While Ella successfully made friends and joined the populars.
