You got a lot done. Sure is hot down in that neck of the woods. The wiring always looks nicer and is better in loom like that. Those brakes being touchy like that is weird could be maybe that’s a pre ABS system they used to brake a bit differently than ABS system did. Been so long since I drove one with that system I can’t remember how touchy they were. Got the light working under the bumper that’s cool. I wasn’t a fan of putting lights there because of fear of ripping them off. Done a bit of off roading in fields and the like. But to each his own. It’s all coming along good. Don’t over do yourself in that heat tho be careful. Stay safe

Looking good. I’m sure you’ll figure out the reverse light situation

Sure I wouldn't want to work in that heat James.

Hello James, Great Job. Wiring always Sucks. Rewarding in the end . Sometimes on older trucks and wiring you can spend hours.

Before you were under that pararseole/awning I wondered why you weren't wearing a hat. Cabover Gary thought his straw hat looked silly, but being sensible, wore it anyhow as being ginger in Texas gives no option.

I missed the name of where you live in Georgia. Are you anywhere near Macon? I have a good friend there.

I don't want to confuse or make my way to be yours James. I start from the back and go to a box just for wiring on trucks that has relays and fuse blocks ... just everything that makes it work. I wire in series, on tail, marker, brake and signal but each one is its own. No combinations.. the light itself can be multiple lights in one but each circuit is by itself to that box. That includes grounds as a circuit on its own to the box. It cuts down on wire and is easy to track down ah shits down the road. As long as its good wire, I use it but no color changes at all, stays the same from end to end. I like the "Doits connectors" spelled wrong but you know those pin style plugs and their not foolproof as they will corrode inside unless properly greased with the special grease. I run as many looms as it takes to keep it separated. The frame lights are on their own line and never in the main circuit at all as they heat up and melt wires fast as you put them on. I always solder the wire connections and used heat shrink every time. It takes longer the first time but so simple to keep up with. I had my biggest problem with those damn foot treadles because of the many outlets on them going for different places.... they are not as simple as they look. Its just been too many years since I leaned over a frame rail. Not too much help. I always used braided lines and not afraid to use old line if its still good.. its got to be really old to just toss but if its showing its age, away it goes. I tried to use all the same kinds of connectors but you have been to the airline store and seen the many different "best damn hose" is what they always claim.. I tried to keep it simple and stay with one style and repairs in the tool bag for when they break or get torn off. Those pretty colored plastic hoses always break in cold weather.. I had ice breaking off as it drug the ground on some days... hence all wiring tucked out of harm an keeping it simple. Yes I have laid in the snow at a weigh station being out of service fixing something that should of never broke.. there is no perfect system... maybe it helps but I sure feel for you in the heat.. we use garages for cold, you need one for getting out of the heat.. I seen your shop and you and I know if it was ten times bigger, stuff would just be that much harder to find an its always full to the brim

Hi ya James if you plan on working outside for a good while I would suggest a cooler filled with ice and whatever you like to drink...that will last you A few hours and you can stay hydrated
