You'll get to know Philipp Eberhard Hermann Kohlschreiber a lot better after seeing this video of his one-handed backhand winners. Kohlschreiber's forehand and backhand are equally as solid although he tends to run around his backhand and his very strong inside-out forehands. His one-handed backhand is considered one of the best among the active players. He can go deep, he can hit with pace, create angles also vary with his slice and especially the drop shot which catches his opponents completely off guard. Kohlschreiber is a skilled volleyer and is considered to be an all-court player due to his successes on the different types of surfaces. He's reached at least the fourth round of all Grand Slams and won titles on all surfaces (although he has won the most titles on clay)."Kohli" (a commonly used nickname popular in Germany) has won seven doubles titles, seven singles titles and is a runner-up 8 times in singles. He's had the most success at the BMW Open, Munich, Germany - 3 titles there, including his first career title (2007 d. Mikhail Youzhny, 2012 d. Marin Čilić, 2013 lost in the final to Tommy, Haas, 2015 lost in the final to Andy Murray, 2016 d. Dominic Thiem). A Halle title in 2011 is also to note. The following year Kohlschreiber achieved one of his biggest career wins at the Gerry Weber Open - a win versus the freshly crowned Roland Garros champion Rafael Nadal and with a 6-3 6-4 score. Kohli has reached quertrfinals of few ATP1000 Masters events - Monte Carlo (2 times) and Toronto, he has also reached the 2012 Wimbledon quarterfinal (Losing to Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in a tight match). Some of Philipp Kohlschreiber's better wins are: 2009 Roland Garros third round vs Novak Djokovic (6-4 6-4 6-4), 2010 Monte Carlo second round vs Andy Murray (6-2 6-1), 2012 Halle QF vs Rafael Nadal (6-3 6-4). Kohlschreiber has a total of 22 wins versus top 10 players.

A pleasure to watch, always. One of my favorite player to watch really. So surprising he does not perform better.

I remember 2 coaches told me if you want to copy a backhand, P.K is the most technically perfect backhand.

I always copied Federer because he was my idol. But my coaches did try to make me change

I will never understand why Philip wasn't a top 10 player. He has the shots and they're all great just not one stand out shot they're all equal.

I was copying wawrinka's backhand for three months, but my elbow hurts, now I'm switching to kohlschreiber's backhand and serve.

There’s a Japanese coach that teaches his way of hitting .... his name is Inoue Kunio. I scrapped everything I’ve learned in the last 40 years to hit this way. It’s simply beautiful to watch both ... the coach and the pro.
