Raava once said this about vaatu: "One cannot exist without the other." So vaatu must have growing within raava after his defeat and was split from her when the twins were born. So that means that one of the twins could be the new dark avatar

Didn’t the creators previously state that only one twin can be the avatar. Kind of like the twins in the Earth Kingdom in the episode The Fortuneteller, in which one twin was an earthbender and the other wasn’t.

I remember I grew up with korra I grew up without no I grew up with Naruto first then later in life I went to Nickelodeon I already went there but she's more of a I've watched Avatar first I really wasn't interested in the first season korra got my attention she was the character that I like the most and she's my personal favorite Avatar and this is my opinion what is so hard to defend her cuz all korra fans on the Internet or in a fight for their lives and the people that is making the show is making it worse we are fighting for our lives any fans of korra please tell me what you think

here me out korra was started in a generation of the world that is the closest to the current modern with modern problems. So technically the cycle needed to start because they are in a new modern cycle that is how I see it

There's only a couple ways I think this could happen
1. Rava somehow splits between the twins. Possibly 1/2 Bing from Korra the other being from aang in the previous avatars.
2. Vaatu somehow ends up creating their own avatar cycle.
3. A different powerful Spirit bonds with the main characters twin giving her the potential to be a new Avatar.

Honestly they should’ve done modern technology. Lego Ninjago has been doing great with modern tech with ancient concepts. They could’ve saved the post apocalyptic plot for the fire avatar that’s next
