This cover was so fun to make. We love Fleetwood Mac and wanted to paint a dark and epic picture with our take on The Chain. The lyrics make me feel the power of standing together against great forces trying to pull us apart, perhaps even from the inside. I really wanted to drive that home in our version, and even made everyone in the band sing by the end of it! We’re beyond excited to share this with you and I’m really looking forward to playing it live.

The Chain is one of my favorite Fleetwood Mac songs of all-time. I appreciate and respect Evanescence for putting the song in a new perspective. If their new album sounds anything like this, then it might just beat ‘The Open Door’ as my number 1 favorite Evanescence album. Keep it up, Ev.

This is officially my favorite cover that Evanescence has done. I'm so excited that all the band members are singing together and not just Amy Lee really excites me. Don't get me wrong Amy is stunning, but the diversity of voices shows that Evanescence really can change up and still sound amazing. I hope this is the direction of Ev5.

Evanescence know how to cover a song. I've not heard a bad cover by them or by Amy.

This cover sounds different to the original, obviously, and while I enjoy the original and is my favorite version by far, this cover is still amazing. Definitely my second favorite of their covers.
