The EXPLOSIVE Rise of Facebook Scamming

YOUTUBE COMPLETELY THROTTLED THIS VIDEO AT UPLOAD AND DID NOT SEND NOTIFICATIONS: I have Reposted to try and remedy this. I apologize for this but felt there was no other way.

Facebook has seen linear growth for the past 13 years, resulting in its reach expanding to a point where nearly half of the people on earth have tried it. However... what has not grown at a steady rate, are the scams.

What started small has ballooned out exponentially as the platform appears to foster and directly benefit from massive scam networks, and affiliate marketing deception. What we see now, is just the start.

I apologize to everyone who already watched this... but YouTube killed the video on upload and did not send a single notification. I reposted to try and see if it shows up this time. Thank you to everyone who watches, please share if you like the content to try and overcome this pretty substancial hiccup today.

Real journalism right here. I canceled my Facebook account last year and will stay away from most all social media groups.

We didn't even have social media 20 years ago and we don't need it now.

The funniest one I've ever seen was when I was a kid in the 90's and my friend's mom bought into on of these things, I think from a late night infomercial. It promised to make her rich.

So what was it? Basically, it was a "How to get rich" book and audio CDs. The catch here is it taught you how to sell these "Get rich quick" packages, which even back in the mid 90's was over $100. The way I saw it, it was just a slightly more clever pyramid scheme. You were buying instruction on how to sell what you were sold, which was basically nothing. That's just insane.

"literally on a rocket ship growing"...

That's going to be a huge rocket ship.

This reminds me of when a reporter went to a scalper conference in Las Vegas back in 2018 and uncovered that Tickermaster had a block of scalpers they knowingly sell to because Ticketmaster got a double dip of the ticket sale.

Girlfriend’s dad has dementia and he lost his entire $300, 000 life savings to scammers targeting him on facebook. Now we have to take care of him financially even though we’re just getting started in our late 20’s. The scammers ruined his life and placed a severe burden on us. If I ever find them in person then I don’t know if I can stop myself from being violent.

The thing that triggers me the most? The guy with the beard saying, " we are LITERALLY on a rocket ship". No you're not mate, figuratively not literally.

I legitimately hate almost everything about social media in general. If it wasn't the only way to connect with my international friends I'd get rid of it entirely.

Facebook: "We have entire teams online to stop misinformation as soon as it starts to make sure voting is based entirely on approved media sources."

Also Facebook: "We do not believe affiliated marketing is misinformation."

Im a student in Marketing, some of my Profs have stressed how much potential Facebook has when it comes to reach and frequency, also how scam ridden it is

Conclusion:
There's a large opportunity for you out there to sell "how to develop your scamming career" courses for those potential scammers.

What do mean scammers are rampant on Facebook?

The chair I ordered is only 6 months overdue, and my bank was unable to track the transaction because the company doesn't exist. I'm sure it just went to my old address by accident.
