Happening Now: Trump in Michigan gives remarks on economy, manufacturing

Former President Donald Trump is slated to deliver remarks Thursday from Potterville, Mich. where he's expected to speak on the economy and manufacturing.

It will be Trump's third visit to the state in the past nine days and second this week after delivering a speech to the National Guard Association in Detroit on Monday.

Trump won Eaton County, where part of Lansing is located, in both 2016 and 2020, but by a smaller margin the second time.

The event is scheduled to begin at 3:30 p.m. EDT.

None of the things he dislikes about EV's are the beef of it. They try to sell us on the idea that they are "better for the environment", but nothing about that idea is true. The materials that go into the batteries, which are the most expensive components of the car, are mined in foreign lands by in many cases, the bare hands of kids, and the materials are toxic. Once the batteries are spent, they go... where? The gasoline that goes into an ICE vehicle over it's lifetime, does not add up to what it takes to get the cobalt, nickel, etc., out of the Earth, and shipped, refined, assembled, installed weighing a ton, into the EV. And an ICE bvehicle will outlast by far, any EV battery. When that battery dies, throw away the whole care, because the battery is that expensive. And if you live where it gets cold, cut that lifetime in half. And like Trump said, electricity is not without pollution, and to beef up the grid to charge all the EV's, we will be firing up the coal plants that were previously shuttered due to environmental pollution or something, at least, natural gas being preferred, but that won't be enough.
