Long Hair, Don't Care: How Carmilla Teaches Vaggie to Overcome Her Fears

Did you know this in Hazbin Hotel? In episode 7, "Hello Rosie," there's a powerful moment between Carmilla and Vaggie that showcases the depth of their relationship and the way Carmilla mentors Vaggie. At the beginning of their training session, Carmilla has her hair tied up, and when Vaggie expresses her difficulty fighting with long hair, Carmilla immediately lets her own hair down, continuing to fight without missing a beat. This gesture isn't just about the practicality of fighting; it's a lesson in overcoming self-imposed limitations. Carmilla is subtly telling Vaggie that it's not her hair that's holding her back but her mindset. By effortlessly handling her hair while fighting, Carmilla demonstrates that true strength comes from within and that external factors like hair shouldn't be an excuse.

Carmilla: "Nah, Vaggie, blaming your hair is like blaming lag in online gaming..."

She's basically telling Vaggie that she's the problem, not the hair

What I think is that's amaizing how in the real battle Vaggie remembered that moment and she tied her hair in a ponytail, and how she opted for an outfit that resembled the feeling her exterminator uniform gave her.

And yes, I also love the example Carmilla set to show that she could do it no matter what, clearly not without practice.

I actually did notice. It's one reason I like out for love so much. Very underrated song and scene

And I'm sure Vaggie teleporting in between cuts in the first song was completely intentional

I knew it was important in showing her that inner strength but the way you put it was well said.

Tbh, i love the scene and everything about it. Only problem i have is its much better without context. Because Vaggies motivation was always love, she wasnt revengeful. Sure bit self hate stuff going on especially if we take what husk said and how she is charlies "armor" in her expression. Vaggies motivation was always about love... i think it would be much more effective if the song's focus was not just "do something out for love not out for rage" but if it was "if you want to protect your loved ones, learn how to face with yourself" it would be amazing.

But maybe its just a me thingy
