Something about their relationship just feels so cathartic. That line "you've seen me" pierced through my heart, the amount of vulnerability in that very scene was breathtaking. Grace's death was truly devastating but it was a necessary push to Tommy's character development.

He loved her so much and her death TRULY DEEPLY BROKE HIM. He was NEVER the same. The way he spoke to her, looked at her, touched her and was so patient and no matter how tired he was he’d sit watch and listen to her for hours.

I recently watched season one again, and it's obvious the change of Tommy's personality. He used to smile in almost every scene, and his relationship with his family was also very different. They were so much closer compared to now, more happier. I miss those seasons, and every chance I get, I watched again and again
