When her record company sent this song out to radio stations they didn’t include a picture of her so people assumed she was black because of how soulful her voice is, people were surprised to find out she is a whole woman from England. She also performed at the Apollo theatre which was known for audiences booing people off the stage if they didn’t like them but she a standing ovation.

This was a massive hit in 1989 was 17, and really popular in clubs and pubs across UK and Europe . People hold on. This is the right time. All woman and many more. Fun fact :- Lisa Stansfield was the first White British woman to reach number 1 on Billboard R&B Chart American Black music chart.
