Thermal paper PCB (Printed Circuit Board) refers to a printed circuit manufacturing method that uses thermal paper to transfer the image of the printed circuit board design to the PCB base material.
The process begins by printing the circuit layout on thermal paper using a laser printer. The printed thermal paper is then placed on the copper surface of the PCB base material and heat and pressure is applied to transfer the design image from the thermal paper to the copper. This thermal transfer process is what makes the manufacturing method known as "thermal paper PCBs".
Once the circuit layout has been transferred to the copper surface, the PCB is dipped in a chemical solution that removes unwanted copper, leaving only the copper traces and pads that make up the circuit.
After removal of the unwanted copper, the PCB undergoes a drilling process to create holes for the electronic components. The components are then soldered onto the copper pads.
The resulting PCB is a printed circuit board that can be used in a variety of electronic devices, from mobile phones to computers. The thermal paper manufacturing method is an easy-to-use, cost-effective alternative to small-quantity PCB manufacturing.
