I don't understand why so many people judge Lana Del Rey for her weight gain. After all, as a singer, her job is to enchant people with her voice, her songs and her lyrics, not with her looks. Besides, she will turn 38 this year; celebrities are only human, just like us, and they get older and don't stay young forever. With age, the metabolism becomes weaker and many gain weight as a result, which is perfectly normal and natural. No matter what Lana Del Rey looks like now, she is still - and always has been - a beautiful, talented woman.

I left an abusive relationship with a sociopath in February. I also gained weight afterwards but I had slipped back into anorexia at the end of the relationship after being free from that for 13 years.

Be kind to people because you never know where they’ve been. Weight gain is a natural result from leaving an abuser or getting healthy from addiction and healing from trauma bonds. It’s a process. Be kind.
