What are the 4 Roman Pastas?

Got Guanciale?

These 4 dishes are a perfect example of how adding or swapping just ONE ingredient can completely change a dish. With that in mind, while it’s ok to swap bacon or pancetta for the more traditional guanciale, just know that you are tasting a different dish. Still tasty, just different.

To help more people get access to these harder to find ingredients, I actually reached out to the Italian shop where I’ve been buying my smoked guanciale for several years now. They are a small business located in Northern California, and they are truly passionate about sharing Italian food and culture with others.

Oh yeah… and follow me for the full recipes and tips which I’ll be posting as part of an upcoming series.

It's funny because the fewer ingredients, the harder it is because it usually requires better technique, while having more does offset it a bit, and makes it possible to cover

this is some good content. You are also so calm where every food youtuber goes for the chaotic style I hope you hit big

I made Pasta Amatriciana for date night with my partner after seeing this video. I made homemade pasta and sauce and everything. So glad I got to see her smile after the first bite. Cooking brings people together, i suppose! :)

As an Italian I am really surprised. You did a great job man and don't care about couple fanatics from Rome that will tell you that "YOu DidN't UsE ThE RigHt CHeeSe". This absolutely rocks!

I had carbonara for the first time when I went to Rome and I dream about that dish it was so good. Probably the best thing I ate on that trip next to the cannolis in Sicily

The ideia of a plate with 4 different types of pasta is just so appealing I wish restaurants around me had that 😅

I grew up eating all of them and by far my favorite is "pasta all'amatriciana". So many good memories. Such a delicious dish.

The longer I cook at home the more I appreciate simple pasta dishes like these. It's not always a toss up between a red sauce and a white sauce like when I was a kid.

There wold also be the "Zozzona", which we could translate as "the dirty one", it's with: pecorino, pepper, chili powder, guanciale, sausage, egg yolk and tomato sauce
