I am today buying a 2011 facelift Jaguar XKR with 5ltr supercharged V8, so that would be my choice

Great list, thanks! I had no idea that a Jag XKRS was under £20k. Agree that a good history is vital to avoid bankruptcy but what a car!!!

For that money I'd love to say I'd buy a Merc CL63 or a Porsche 928 but realistically the most exotic thing I'd consider at that price would be an E92 M3 or, as someone else suggested, an ISF (there is one under £20k as I type!).

That said, I had a test drive of an i30N earlier...they're pretty tasty, far more fun than the CTR. Was expecting some noise though, I feel like my GS was louder which is just wrong.

Loving your work @Cars With JB! Here's a different category for you to look at, and my particular fave, pocket rockets... So, we're talking here about smallcars that are quick and handle well, but aren't neessarily particularly quick, but the lowness to the road and the small windscreen gives the illusion.. Eg, original mini 1275 GT or Cooper, Lotus Elise, you get the idea. A female friend had an MG Midget, which was great, gave all of the thrills, but as she described it "it's basically a shoe"!!

Another diamond dossier, J. B.! That Continental GT is my favorite for that money. Nothing can beat that look, power and interior. Damn my checkbook to hell!

Excellent list once again mate. The M5 and M6 for sub 20k now are just insane. I know the engines are made of chocolate but that sound is mental! Also the C5 RS6 is a massive bank breaker should anyone wish to own one. The running costs of them now are ASTRONOMICAL. Something like 2-3k just for an authentic Audi roof liner.
