Wait now...let’s not generalize. This is NOT true. You can find anything you need in MX, depending on where you live. I lived in Mexico City, was vegan when I lived there and am from California—so I know and purchase specialty products galore. In CDMX, you have CityMarkets but also some regular markets like Sumesa in Condesa have a wide variety of specialty products. And most of those products are from California.

What are you talking about? Everything is readily available in every city. We can find local and world ingredients to make just about anything. There are plenty of what you call fancy stores, but for the sake of freshness, you can always go to a 'mercado'. Plus, you live in Cuernavaca, Morelos. It's like trying to find Japanese food in Little Rock, Arkansas. It's not gonna happen!

You van find anything you need in big cities in México, specially in Mexico City. Maybe not in Cuernavaca, which is not a big city, rather a resting place for people in the cities. It’s a weekend getaway city.

In mexico I find all my shopping at the big 4. Costco, walmart which are everywhere, local farmers market and sometimes chedraui or soriana.

Ok people listen, yes, many of the things she says are difficult to find in Mexico actually are easy to find in any other supermarket but this City Market (probably the Polanco one more than any other in the country) has wygyu and caviar, that is something you can't find everywhere.

Wow ! I live in Los Angeles California and I wish we could have a supermarket like this. We have plenty of specialty food stores here, but they tend to be small and far away. One of the biggest supermarket chains here like Vons, it would dedicate maybe half an isle for oriental specialties or Italian ones. Greetings 🖖 fun and interesting video ❤️😘❤️

I haven’t been to a City Market. From our travels last year, it seems that some La Comer locations have similar items. It’s a nice way to find particular items.

I go to Cuernavaca every weekend, literally two blocks and never go. Didn’t realize such a cool place and can find such high end gourmet stuff, as a NYer living in Mexico, thanks for the tip. Come on over for a drink, cheers.
