This was my EDC for 3 yrs. I carried it for self def ONLY. Every metal piece on mine was polished to a mirror after removing all black paint. since i only carried this knife for the explicit purpose of self def it was never used for anything much other than cutting a piece of string or just showing it off. I always kept it perfect working condition. Clean, shinny and razor sharp. Anybody i would happen to show it to was always impressed.

Your video just saved me the pain of moving my clip around only to discover the cross guard won’t fit in my pocket. Thankyou sir! Lol

the reason the knife catches when in tip up carry is that its designed to. its calledthe carson flipper you open it in the same way as the cold steel ti-lite. You grab the knife while pressing the hand guard against the inside of your pocket, the ridges on the hand guard catch while you pull the knife out and open . its designed to be a legal fast opening knife.

This has been my take on that type of question. If you're going to ask that, you more than likely will not be happy with it. If you aren't comfortable pocketing a big never will....it's not something you just get used to. Either that size doesn't bother you or it does and if you're asking - then it does. ;-)

Can't wait to get mine in the mail! I got the spear point. Good review!

Just got this. Feels good in the hand.

Love it for a camping knife utility etc but its almost overkill for my EDC. I found the m16-02z was more practical. Still good for personal defense
. Nice review.

This is a near perfect EDC and use knife. Ive had this model for 6 years. Serrations are sharpened with chain saw files. Its larger size is great when working with gloves. The hilt gimping is rough on skin as its default clip set up. Hands arms waist can get a mean scrape. Solution is to move clip to the handle end and make it pocket catch open.

when u clip it point up in your pocket, its supposed to hook on the pocket when u pull it out so it can open fast

Nice review dude :) Short tipp.. If you wana close it with one hand, then use you middle finger to push the little button on the backside, then use your thumb to push the lever, so you can move the blade with your index finger! Lot easier that way! :)

@InfiniBox try closing the knife, using your middle finger to move the lawkss down, your index finger to push the blade down, and your thumb to close the youl find it closes just as fast and smooth as any liner lock.

I'm dying to get one! thanks for the review

Why don't you compare it to a tape measure?

good video. ive had this same knife for over a year and i carry everyday. cant feel it and works great. i even got my roomate to carry the m21-14sfg which is what i used to carry
Nissantech
Thank u I was thinking how to close this knife

@assumez this thing is huge, I would say now. Among knives I have I would say for everyday use the best are the crkt minimalist and Opinel #6. If you want a defensive edc check out the cold steel counterpoint 2. Don't take any of them to school of course.

It doesn't have a ball bearing system, the pivot rotates on bronze and plastic washers. Please do not use wd-40 on it, the pivot will get gummed up over time and reduce the overall performance. I suggest using a real knife lubricant or bicycle chain lube. As far as the pocket clip goes, it is just painted and intended to get that sweet "pocket worn finish". By the way, I love my m16 14sfg, good quality stuff from crkt.

the belt clip is hard to put on. how does does it take to break in?
businessmanph
I am almost 87.5% sure it doesn't have ball bearings, it has washers correct me if I am incorrect as know many of you will if I am.

for tip up carry, did you ever try waving it from your pocket?
