Virgin Galactic completes third successful spaceflight

On May 22, 2021, Virgin Galactic's VSS Unity spaceship completed the first-ever human spaceflight from Spaceport America, New Mexico, with two pilots reaching apogee at 55.45 miles above ground. It was carried by a carrier aircraft called VMS Eve. The aircraft then released the spacecraft, which fired its rocket engine. Virgin Galactic is an American spaceflight company within the Virgin Group. It is developing commercial spacecraft and aims to provide suborbital spaceflights to space tourists.
