Just an old vets opinion here. Get a 4kw solar battery setup. I know it's expensive but it can power your frig and freezer for a long time if you are careful. Lots of canned food and dry foods. Plenty of water by using a waterbob or another brand. Get 20 lb propane cans, the more the better. At least 2 camp stoves. Learn to home can from your garden. It is a journey that you need to take. I have let everyone who I know that I am willing to teach them how to do these things. Unfortunately I have had no takers. That is their fault.

You can pressure can milk and butter. Also you can preserve farm fresh eggs for at least 2 years in lime water in dark cool area

Remember to biannually check your items and their expiration dates. Replace old with fresh items. Date your items as to the date you purchased them.
Items age. Seeds lose their fertility. Tapes charge. Chemicals oxidize. Batteries corrode.

Garden solar lights are very useful as well…. When our power were out one night for almost 4 hours. I pull out 5 of my yard solar lights and used them in my bathroom, each bedroom and kitchen. If I fall asleep I don’t have to worry about fire. Candles you have to make sure it’s out before going to sleep. But with solar lights from our yard was cool and safe 😃

Careful storing firewood in some areas, when I moved to Tulsa from up North, I stacked firewood on the side of the house and carpenter ants moved into it and then went under the brick wall and ate into the house...

you need about 10 gallons of water per person just for one day. probably a good idea to keep a pump on hand whether it be electric or otherwise. i keep bleach tablets and i have a life straw and two Sawyer filters.
