I'm Polish and I agree with almost everything you said but I don't think all of those things are necessarily bad. For example I don't want people smiling at me just because they are pressured to do it, like for example it is in other countries. I want them to smile only if they want to smile.

If someone keeps staring at you, it's only because of your beauty!

A lot of confusing information. Big supermarkets are closed on Sundays rather than all shops. On top of that, all shops are open usually on one Sunday a month. Crossing a zebra is much safer in Poland comparing to Nigeria. Many Nigerian Youtubers pointed it out, so you are the only one who sees it as a bad thing. In Poland, when you want to cross a zebra, a driver has to stop by law. If they hit you, they would go to jail, no questions asked. The weather in Poland is stable and predictable. Visit the UK or Holland, as they have a sea climate and you will see what an unstable weather is. Polish people don’t smile to strangers. If somebody does, we think such a person is mentally ill. A neutral face is not an angry face.

People staring at You for 3 reasons;
- You are different then other 95% of population.
-You are beautiful.
- it’s part of the culture that is not forbidden to look.

“Everyone is so serious in Poland” — that may seem true, but I haven’t even realised that until my foreign friend told me that. poles are actually really friendly, warm and nice, but they don’t pretend to be happy or try to be overly nice. being honest is actually really important in Poland and therefore people don’t see a reason to smile with no reason and also... poles complain a lot; some even say that the national sport in Poland is complaining, which is true in a way

“Shops aren’t open on Sundays” — that is actually a new thing that was made a few years ago. it has to do with the polish tradition and culture. Sunday is a free day; u don’t work then and it’s time to spend time with ur closets ones... but also it’s because it’s a day to rest- in the bible god rest on Sunday too and that’s why I think.

“missing Nigerian food” — well that’s totally normal and I think it would be surprising if you didn’t miss it, since it’s ur home food. maybe there are tough some African food shops or restaurants with Nigerian food? I haven’t eaten in any for now, so I don’t know if there are any, but it’s always worth checking ( if you didn’t try it, ofc)

“Staring” — a lot of foreigners when they come to Poland say that they are getting stared a lot. Staring is quite normal in Poland actually and it’s nothing bad. Especially if you’re a foreigner people are staring at you maybe more since you’re someone new and they are curious— where you’re from and why did you come to Poland. It’s nothing actually bad and I’m glad that this doesn’t annoy you anymore.

“Money” — well here I agree with u and it’s certainly is annoying. My brother wanted to buy food, but he had only 6zł, where the price was 6zł and 5groszy. It is annoying, but it may be because of the vat

If you are complaining about the weather in Poland, a visit to the UK should cure you from complaining XD As for facial expression - a smile is for friends, a cultural issue. And don't complain about looking, the same thing happens to Europeans in Africa :P

"everyone looks serious" is connected to the weather.

Great video - BtW, if you need to use "really" and "very" in every sentence, you may want to improve your English vocabulary. Just a thought.

Expressions of emotions are private. Just like you do not have sex in public, you not smile either.
