Man I can never resist picking up your courses 😂. But out of the cacophony of online lessons, yours are the ones that break it down so I end up saying "I can't believe I'm playing this!". Thanks Jeff.

Great stuff, as usual. We tend to make things more difficult than necessary. I once saw an interview with Walter Trout, and he said this is how he solos: no scales, no patterns, just seeing the chords and playing in and around them.

Thanks Jeff. Already got the course but haven't gone through it yet. I have a feeling it will answer a question I've had about playing in one position.

Great tips Jeff. Rhythm and lead are two sides of the same coin, not two separate coins as is the way it's often taught.

C7/F7/G7 at open position and 12th fret; A7/D7/E7, 3rd fret; G7/C7/D7, 5th fret; E7/A7/B7, 8th fret; D7/G7/A7, 10th fret … now CAGED is missing B and F because B7 = C7 (down 1 fret) and F7 = E7 (up 1 fret). That’s how to play the 3 chords in each of the 5 positions.
- Now for each of those Dominant 7 “shapes”, you must be able to play Mixolydian + b3/b5 from the Blues scale. The most important notes are 3/b7; they will most define those Dominant 7 chords.

Is playing 10 & 11 bars (D7, C7) an example of solo "thru" the changes (chromatic walk D, D#, E)? Super video!!
