Eight boxes-A, B, C, D, E, F, G and H are kept on four different shelves and each box has
different weights- 1kg, 2kg, 3kg, 4kg, 5kg, 7kg, 8kg and 9kg but not necessarily in the
same order. Each shelf has two stacks – stack 1 and stack 2 which is east of stack 1.
The bottommost shelf is numbered as 1 and the topmost shelf is numbered as 4. Box
E is kept two shelves above the box which is 5kg in the same stack. Box D is kept
northeast of the box which is 5kg. Box F is kept two shelves below box D. Box C is 4kg
and kept west of box F. Box H is kept northeast of the box which is 3kg. The box which
is 1kg is kept east of box B. Neither box A nor box B is 5kg. The box which is 9kg is kept
two shelves above the box which is 7kg. The weight of box E is not an odd number. The
box which is 8kg is kept below box G.
