Hey Siim, I know you’ve made a video on hypertrophy before, but I’d love to hear a bit more specifically about your thought process when it comes to exercise selection. Ie, how many exercises do you do, how much of your resistance training is focused on hypertrophy contra mobility or strength, and how you balance those :)

Cholesterol numbers don’t add up. LDL + HDL + VLDL = 145.28. The report says total cholesterol is 152.

Hi Sim have noticed any side effects of taking 2 grams of TMG?

So it seems less muscles (and maybe doing more cardio) is actually good in terms of blood markers.

Got my Dexa at AIWO and was really worried looking at that fat percentage Siim (mine was 33% and I don't look like 33% on mirror). Glad that its cleared up now, they are probably using a different scale. The only take away from AIWO Dexa should be Visceral fat, ALM, lean body mass I guess.

Siim -- Lp(a) is cleared by the LDL receptor also, its just outcompeted by the LDL particles. As your LDL particles went down Lp(a) can be cleared more effectively, explaining what you've seen. Did you reduce saturated fat intake?

I am not saying you have fallen short anywhere, but I was wondering if you work on flexibility, isometric, balance, coordination, and reaction time. Grip strength test? Bar hang time? Can you do a backflip? Physically, you are clearly strong enough. Heck, you look like a gymnast. It is one of my goals to be able to do a bunch of back handsprings on a grassy hill, and of course a backflip. Anyone looking at me would say that is not very realistic, but I have improved many things. If I continue to make progress, maybe it is possible.

Appreciate you sharing these results and being honest!

I have to ask how you have any energy to even get out of bed with such low T3 levels. I had almost identical thyroid results as you and my brain fog + fatigue was very severe. Now I’m on NP Thyroid and I feel much better.

There are several studies showing lower total T3 levels (under 80ng) are associated with higher mortality and cardiovascular risk. You might want to look into correcting that.

Everything else is 👌 though.

the real issue is that these blod tests are so expensive and most people cannot afford to do it often at all, I only check my weight, blood pressure and resting heart rate frequently, that's about it.

can you share your immune biomarkers like lymphocytes, RDW etc, also i think it will be cool if you did a PhenoAge test based on your biomarkers like the conquer aging or die trying youtube channel!

Hi Siim, How much protein are you consuming daily from animal products versus plant?

Hi Siim. Love your channel. Watch out for calorie restriction impairing your immune system in ways not captured by your white cell count. You need a way to monitor the health of your immune system directly. Too much Calorie restriction may increase your chance of infection and cancer

I'm not sure what the optimal levels of ferritin or iron stores are, but there is an argument out there suggesting they be on the lower side of things -- at least with men. Men tend to accumulate iron as they age and some folks even donate blood on the semi-regular to keep levels lower -- which they claim has only benefited their health.

Another factor could also be what food source you're getting iron from. I'd be curious to see whether habitually eating a little bit of red meat was more beneficial on overall health or whether upping your intake from plant sources was. My guess would be that the right plant sources might be better, especially when one is young and doesn't have any nutrient absorption issues.

I'm not sure if you do this, but it would be awesome for you to also track your gut microbiota with stool tests. Seeing a snap shot of what ratio of bacteria is doing what along your health journey would be interesting. You could also experiment with different strains of bacteria and prebiotics/foods to optimize this further.

Will you supplement B vitamins to lower homocysteine?

Hi Siim, RE red meat reduction and reduced iron and T levels - have you considered the recent study finding that carnitine affects the androgen receptor? Its one mechanism worth exploring with respect to T levels and red meat consumption; be interested in your thoughts. Dan.

Great stuff, thanks for sharing. I wonder whether the improved liver and kidney markers have something to do with the massive reduction of supplements. Personally I have a project in planning for health optimization as much as is possible for me, because I'm in a difficult situation due to severe chronic illness (ME/CFS, Bell 10-20), which means that I have to lie down all day and barely get over ~300 (small) steps, and I also can't leave the house to visit doctors. Let's see.

Can you please post your blood test so I can go through it line by line and compare to my own?
