I keep looking for exercises that I can do to strengthen one leg. The other leg has been paralysed since I caught polio when I was 10 months old so I have always depended on my strong left leg until I injured it a couple of years ago and now the muscles in my left thigh sometimes give way. So there’s rarely a time when I’m not holding onto something sturdy. I can do the sit and stand but NEVER without holding on and pushing myself up with my right hand at least.
(I had my limp checked out once and the lady said that I was the first person she had ever seen with all three limp effects!)
I am wondering if you have any suitable exercises because I can’t be the only person who is effectively one legged. It’s not a total problem because my knee on my shorter right leg does lock when I stand.

Im 74 and want to ride a bike again. Will more leg strenght help me. I walk fine but i am scared. I use to ride motorcycles but quit after two accidents cause by me and no one else involved.

At 78 I have worked up to do proper squats - 15 at a time. My legs still feel weak. Will these. exercises be redundant?
